How do they use Youtube for their business

30 anecdotes

Yes, I search for all the new and latest products on YouTube. There are many distributors who make videos to promote products and upload them on YouTube. So, if I ever reach that level, I will also try to promote my products by making videos and uploading them on YouTube. In these YouTube videos, the distributors share their location so that retailers like me can go there and buy products from them.

If there is any doubt, Google is always there; I will search there. I search on YouTube. Earlier before Google I have to use my brains. You have to do a job repeatedly till the problem is solved.

I check about vehicles only on youtube. Which vehicle can have a certain problem; I search for that. I search through Voice message on youtube; I don’t know how to read and write. I search In Hindi. I can speak on YouTube using voice recording and search “How to do Activa bore fitting” and it will show the whole thing. The search results are also In Hindi. I have to search in Hindi only. Yes the videos are also in Hindi. I can see everything there; which part is to be fitted where. I use Google for watching matches, for photos and pictures.

I don’t talk to anybody related to business or some advice; I just search on Google and YouTube. It's better than asking anybody; you can search immediately on YouTube and Google.

I use YouTube and WhatsApp. I ask my daughters to do that. They are well-educated. I only use YouTube and WhatsApp. I listen to songs on YouTube. Nothing related to my business, I message regarding the volleyball team. If it is raining, I decide whether to play or not. I send greetings to someone. If I need to order any undergarment items, I write the names and send them. I also take photos and send them. Some customers send a saree photo to check if I have it. I reply yes or no. I have some customers coming from a distance, so I reply to them.

Facebook and YouTube. I listen to devotional songs on YouTube. I don't know what Instagram is. I visit Facebook when they share informative content. I watch devotional rituals and related content where saints share stories. Yes, it is related to business; when it comes to devotional matters, we also learn about the business aspect. If they share good things, we should listen to them. If someone is unaware, they should be informed about it. If a customer comes and asks questions, we need to provide them with the information. I enjoy listening to stories told by the saints. There are saints like Prem Bhushan Maharaj, Rajan Maharaj, and Premanand Maharaj, from whom we keep receiving information. Guruji created my Facebook account. Yes, I only watch devotional songs on YouTube and nothing else.

There is no way to discuss business. I wake up in the morning, and I have to reach the shop at 10 am. My shop opens at 09:30 am, and by 10 am, it is ready. So, I have to sit at the counter at 10 am and instruct my staff about their work. The shop closes at 10 pm, and then I go home, go to bed, and watch videos about businessmen like Adani ji and Ramdev ji. If they can achieve high growth, then why can't we? To reach their level, we have to utilize our minds and search for things on the internet to grow our business. These things help us, and by observing successful people, we can apply their strategies to our own business. Yes, then I discuss what to do to bring growth, but I don't take ideas from anyone else; they are self-generated ideas.

No, sometimes I check YouTube if I have to make a design for my furniture. Then I see how that design will be made and what machine is used. However, I don't do the designing myself. I select the design and decide how to work with the machines. I provide the machines to the laborers. I teach them through YouTube by sending them videos for them to watch.

Facebook is helping in advertising. Through WhatsApp, we get to know about the needs of the customers. Through YouTube, I gain knowledge about new technology. Yes, from day 1, I have felt that technology has helped my business to grow.

Youtube has a lot of videos. There are a lot of people who tell me new things. For example, I watch videos on interior design for my husband's work. I don't know much about fabrics. So I use YouTube to get information.I look for the best showroom in Jaipur or I look for the best shops in the market on YouTube. I look at that on Google as well and very less on YouTube.

If you look at my screen time then most of my time is spent on YouTube. And then I have some broking apps like Sherkhan and Zerodha.

Yes, whether it's related to shopping, the stock market, personal knowledge, or any other topic, I find information on YouTube. For example, if I want to learn how something is made, Google may not provide that information directly, but it will show relevant search results, and then I can watch a YouTube video to learn how it is made. There are a few stock market channels that I particularly like, such as Finovations and Akshat Srivastav's channel. These channels provide information not only about stocks but also about other investment details. Another channel I follow is Biz Tak, which is a channel by Aaj Tak. These channels provide insights about finance and the economy.

There is one channel from Germany that I watch related to business, I don't remember the name exactly but it has a red color logo. They tell us about new electrical products.

I get a lot of benefits because of UPI. I receive a lot of instant payments. For example, if I have to accept a payment from someone who is far away and unable to send me a check, or doesn't have enough time to make a bank transfer, they can directly share the screenshot of my QR code. This feature is also available in WhatsApp. With a single click, it shares your banking details. For example, I can send them my details with a single click using this WhatsApp business feature. This option is available. And if I have to send an address, for example, if I do this, then this payment detail is sent to them. We can do it in a single click. They will receive both the QR code and bank details, and they can send me the money in whichever way they prefer. If someone asks me to send them my address, then I can send them the address with the location in a single click. So the address is sent to them in text as well as the location. I came to know about these things Through YouTube.

I enjoy watching videos on YouTube that are related to business. Whenever we encounter any issues, we find it helpful to refer to product videos and read reviews. Generally, we find these resources quite useful. We also spend some time watching videos about different products. Sometimes, I get confused about which series or model and I watch the video to get clarification. In such cases, I rely on reviews from professionals in the field, like electricians, as they provide valuable information. However, we haven't uploaded any videos on YouTube ourselves. Personally, I have never uploaded a video of this nature. Although we have considered it, finding the time has been a challenge. We have plans in mind, but we haven't reached the point where we feel the need to create our own channel. It's impressive how YouTubers can earn money through their channels. Without any likes or subscribers, it seems pointless to put in the effort. Yesterday, I was watching a YouTube channel called Jam Jam, and they have even reached the diamond button milestone. Isn't that amazing? By the way, Jam Jam is a YouTube channel based in Dubai.

The YouTubers in this community have shared videos featuring our shop. One of them is Dinesh Pandey, who is currently conducting a class. During his visit, he also conducted an interview with me and created a YouTube video. As a senior teacher, he announced the opening of our new shop and promoted it. As a result, we received numerous calls and attracted many customers. In his video, he assured viewers that we can help solve book-related problems. Thanks to his promotion, we gained a lot of new customers from his channel.

We didn't use YouTube. Sudhakar Shrastho is a YouTuber who also coaches at the high school. He has talented students. Sudhakar made a video showcasing our shop and mentioned that viewers could find books here. He uploaded the video on his channel. People visited our shop based on his recommendation. Since I often met Sudhakar, who is a teacher, he expressed his interest in creating a YouTube video about my shop. I agreed to his idea.

On Youtube I search for the problems that are experienced in the vehicles on YouTube. Many times we are not able to detect the fault in the vehicle but on YouTube expert mechanics post many videos regarding this, so I watch them. There is one expert of Delhi, I don’t recall his name now, I follow him on YouTube. No. I follow one expert of Kolkata, he is from Hyundai showroom. One expert of Delhi named Ravi Konda, I follow him. He posts many videos regarding the cars. No, he doesn’t show the solution of the problems, he shows how to detect the problem in the cars. I myself see the video and then show it to my staff also. They don’t have android phones so they are not able to watch the videos in their phone. I also show them(the staff) latest news related to current affairs, new news has come up of Nitin Gadkari that diesel vehicles are banned; in Delhi they are snatching vehicles that are 15 years old from people. I show them EV vehicle news.

Yes, I know about this WhatsApp and all, I don’t use Facebook that much, Instagram as well, I use YouTube sometimes. I know about Google Maps as well; I have all these apps.

On YouTube, if I have some time, then I watch videos on it. Currently, I'm following the Chandrayaan mission and all that.

I don’t use Youtube for business-related purposes. In the future, I will. If local people see the videos, they will definitely come. After seeing a video even if a single customer comes it is a gain for us.

I tried searching about running a business on YouTube once or twice, but I don't do that here. I do it when I'm at home because there are network problems in this area. If I do it here, people around me come to talk to me. I have neighbors who come and sit here, so if they are there, I can't be on my phone because I get customers through them as well.

Youtube is also something I use. For example, when someone comes to my shop and needs assistance filling out a form, I don't know how to do it, so I watch tutorials on YouTube. Similarly, when a customer comes to me with a government-related task that I am unfamiliar with, I rely on YouTube to learn how to do it. I search on YouTube to find the relevant information. I use YouTube for cyber-related purposes. I don't need anything else.

I would watch videos of wholesalers on YouTube to find out which is the largest wholesaler in Kolkata. I often see people vlogging about their shops on YouTube. I might have asked someone to vlog about my channel, and then they would have done it for my shop. However, I didn't do it. Instead, I would search for a good wholesaler for jewelry in Kolkata on YouTube, where they would show me the available options. I prefer using YouTube for this purpose rather than Google, as Google is more suitable for personal searches rather than business-related ones.

The price difference would be known after watching YouTube as well. You can go there and see many things, including different collections. You can also get the collection from there. Here, you will find everything. It's like someone would increase the price by 10 rupees and someone would reduce it. There are bigger wholesalers and smaller ones as well. They would do the wholesale from there and then we would get it. There is more opportunity for variety. When I need to purchase so much more then I would go once in a year. That’s not for daily basis. The local market is fine for that.

On Youtube, I will see what items are available in Bangalore and Chennai at lower rates and related to the designs.

I did have a YouTube page at one point, but I don't have it now. I received a lot of comments and updates, but there's no significant business associated with YouTube, and the market isn't conducive for it, so we've discontinued it.

Walk-in customers are around 6 to 8. We have more online customers who find out about us through Google, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube.

I initiated our social media presence after joining this firm. While we already had a website, it was still under construction at the time. I strongly insisted for our presence on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Being well-versed in social media, I understand the vast reach and potential it offers.

Youtube Channel for store: I started it as we did not have one. We already had a YouTube channel (personal) so we were interested in starting one for our store.
