How do they use Google for their business

37 anecdotes

Actually, I use Google Search for a lot of things including my business. If I am not able to understand something or if I need information about any medicine or product, I will search for it on Google. I use Google Search to gain knowledge.

If there is any doubt, Google is always there; I will search there. I search on YouTube. Earlier before Google I have to use my brains. You have to do a job repeatedly till the problem is solved.

When I want to look at some vehicle’s photo or some part’s photo I can search on Google.

I don’t talk to anybody related to business or some advice; I just search on Google and YouTube. It's better than asking anybody; you can search immediately on YouTube and Google.

When it comes to my business, if I don't know something about a mobile phone, I search for it on Google. I search for everything. If there's a problem with the board, I search for the model number and find out what kind of board or IC it has. Then, I search for information about it. I do a lot of research on how new mobile phone models work, and it helps me a little. For example, a mobile phone's motherboard has a power IC and a CTO IC. I find information on how they are put together.

I have many vendors. I have around 6-7 vendors. One vendor is for 'chandan' (sandalwood), one is for ghee. There is a separate vendor for 'maala' and another separate vendor for utensils, God's bowls, 'ghanti', and 'deepak'. For Diwali and Dussehra, those vendors come from Delhi. I found the vendors in Delhi while traveling. I go by train. A vendor asked me to go to Delhi, saying that I would get a better rate there. How did you come to Allahabad, Prayagraj, from Bangalore? I got to know about the Delhi vendors through other vendors. Sometimes I get to know through apps like Google, but it does not refer to the proper vendor. I need to find him personally. Some items are available in Gandhinagar. It will be for us. If I get the same rates in Delhi and here, I purchase the material from here. I do not run here and there. I buy everything from Prayagraj. I have a small-scale business. I go to Delhi just during Diwali. Everything is available in Prayagraj itself. Yes, God's idols made from clay are delivered here, so I sell them. I pay the purchase rate and divide the profit I get. The supplier comes here. I tell the supplier 1 month prior that I want these many god's idol pieces. He asks me if I need 20-50 pieces. I ordered 30 pieces and all these pieces got sold. Then I would order again. I would make payment for the 30 pieces that got sold.

There is no way to discuss business. I wake up in the morning, and I have to reach the shop at 10 am. My shop opens at 09:30 am, and by 10 am, it is ready. So, I have to sit at the counter at 10 am and instruct my staff about their work. The shop closes at 10 pm, and then I go home, go to bed, and watch videos about businessmen like Adani ji and Ramdev ji. If they can achieve high growth, then why can't we? To reach their level, we have to utilize our minds and search for things on the internet to grow our business. These things help us, and by observing successful people, we can apply their strategies to our own business. Yes, then I discuss what to do to bring growth, but I don't take ideas from anyone else; they are self-generated ideas.

I take out design from Google.

I use Google to find information. Yes, sometimes I search for what is currently popular and what types of clothes are available. I mean, I search for what is currently trending and what types of clothes are available. I search like this. For example, if I have to go somewhere, then I rely on Google. So, I receive a lot of help from it..

I get to know about fashion from Google. For example, when I go somewhere, I don't know about the shop. I get to know about it only through Google. I get to know about it there. For example, when I go to stay in a hotel then I get to know about hotels through Google.

Youtube has a lot of videos. There are a lot of people who tell me new things. For example, I watch videos on interior design for my husband's work. I don't know much about fabrics. So I use YouTube to get information.I look for the best showroom in Jaipur or I look for the best shops in the market on YouTube. I look at that on Google as well and very less on YouTube.

WhatsApp number. It is shared with each other. Or I go somewhere and approach them. I go and give them my business card. You can find that through Google. I receive a lot of help through Google.

On Google, I haven't done any specific word searches yet. I have received inquiries in between. If I type a specific word, then you'll find it. However, I automatically receive inquiries in between, maybe about electrical goods. I have listed my main industrial electrical items. I think that's the basis for those inquiries.

As I have already mentioned, we have been in this field since the beginning, so we automatically have customers. In some places, we come to know about new factories or industries. We have our own visits. We get customers from someone who found us online, such as India Mart or Google. Nowadays, people have a habit of searching for products on Google, so we also receive inquiries from there. Almost 50% of my clients are regular. We receive inquiries throughout the year. For example, if a new factory is being built, we provide them with the material for the first time and then we continue to receive inquiries from them. Once a customer becomes a customer, there is a 90% guarantee. We don't have an extraordinary strategy to make new customers regular. Our main strategy is competitive rates. There shouldn't be a problem with the rates. They shouldn't feel that the rate is too high or too low. Even if they feel it is too high, we go and correct it. If we are wrong, we analyze where we went wrong or if the client feels something is confusing because another supplier has given a different rate for a similar product, we address that issue and make necessary adjustments. We continuously seek feedback. If a new industry is formed, they inform us if there are any other problems. If there are problems, and we can solve them, we take necessary actions. However, we don't keep a record of it verbally. If the client stays connected with us continuously, then it is understandable.

I have taken photos from Google, Amazon or Flipkart.

Yes, Google and Google Maps are there along with it. Google has no competition; it's the best. I'll tell you that if Google weren't there, then all my work would be incomplete. Because when I have to look for a new product, I search for it on Google. If I want to see an image of a product, I look for it on Google. And as I mentioned, after coming to the shop, there are two or three things that are kept on the PC the whole day: Tally and Google are among those things. Then, mail and WhatsApp Web are always on. For example, if I have made this drawing and it was made through PowerPoint, if I face any problem while making this drawing, Google will help me. I will search on Google only. So, Google helps with everything, including finding the correct spelling of a certain word and more.

I search for it on Google only for new products. No, I don't know about any specific website. I just do a normal search and find out where I can get it. And if there is something that I don't know about scientifically, Google also informs me about it.

As I told you, if I have any finance-related problems, I have my uncle who can advise me. Alternatively, I can ask my sir, who was my teacher during my college days. If I don't find a solution from the CA, I usually get it from my sir. Whenever there is a problem with GST, any entry, or anything else, I always find someone who has a solution. Otherwise, I search for it online and find something somewhere.

We also use Google a lot. If you want to find information about a product, such as its description, features, and ratings, we rely on Wikipedia. We gather all the information from there and present it to the customer. If a customer asks about Havells, for example, and we recommend RR, they might not be familiar with it. In such cases, we search for RR on Google and open the results. For instance, we can find that RR is available in 9 countries and all the details are provided online. This gives the customer confidence that the information is accurate if it is available on the internet. It is really beneficial for us and we can assure them that we are not making false claims. We can search for the product right in front of them and say, "Look, this is what it says online." We have to explain things to them, for example, by showing them a catalog. Sometimes customers might be skeptical and say, "You don't know about it." In such cases, we can open the internet and show them. We can say, "Sir, look, this company is selling it in the UK, as well as in the US and Germany.”

I use Google. For example, a student told me that this book belongs to this writer. Yes. I don't know anything about that book. I asked him if he has a photo of that book. He said no, he doesn't have a photo of that book. He said he knows the name of the writer. Then we display on the screen that this is the writer's book. We find a picture of that book. Then we take a screenshot of that picture and send it to Allahabad. Okay. This is one of the advantages of using Google. There are many other benefits. If I have to go somewhere, I use Google. I use Google for my shop.

Yes, I search for books online using Google. Sometimes, I can't find a book in Allahabad. I check how many books are being sold online. Sometimes, children lie to me about the price they found online. They say, you are giving 700 rupees. You can get it for this much online. So, I quickly verify if they are selling it for that price. Yes, if they are selling it, then it's fine. There is one more thing about online shopping. Many duplicates are being sold online. Yes, a lot. We cannot sell duplicates here in the market. But online, they are selling everything. When a child brings a book, he says, Brother, what you gave me was of good quality. And what we got online is the same. Yes, online products are not good. Okay. So, Google helps us. And we have to rely on Google almost every day.

I don't regularly check my reviews on Google Maps, but sometimes I do. It's currently rated 4.5. Someone must have given it a lower rating from 5 to 4.5. I don't know who posted this review. I have no idea. Someone informed me that my shop is listed on Google. My contact number is also available there. It was posted by someone else. I have a high rating on Google. You can read as many comments as you like. Everyone has written positive comments.

I believe technology is assisting us. We are receiving assistance from Google. Additionally, in other business areas such as writing positive customer reviews or delivering your ordered goods, anything related to that.

Yes Google map is important and then there is Google search, if I don’t understand anything about the material, I check it on Google search. Yes. Then there is Rane suspension. I have to download its pdf, I don’t have that. Party has the pdf. Pdf means every vehicle’s all types of details, rate and everything comes in it. I search that directly from Google and download it. There is VR Texting, SKF bearing, if I search for SKF bearing, I will get the pdf there in which rate and everything is there and I download that. Yes. I search for electrical goods, washing machine I told you earlier. Yes, I search for washing machine also I come to know from it about the company of washing machine and its price and everything. Even I search for alignment balancing machine, I come to know its price from there.

I search things related to business on Google, I check the chemical combinations and all of the medicines. It is very common now, this Google Search.

Take one from the top. Yes, this one, I will type it here. Ridomil Gold fungicide and I search for it like this, they you can see the dosage and benefits of this fungicide.

Yes, Google, as I told you before, provides all the details about this. It includes information about the uses, dosages, and everything related to this product. Ridomil is a type of pesticide. It specifies on which vegetables it can be used and at which stage it should be applied. All of this information is available.

I use Google search to find a shop’s address or phone number I will search. I call them and then add on WhatsApp and I will purchase. For example, recently I needed to purchase toys so I needed to find address of shops in Chennai. I spoke to them and bought some toys.

If there is a new product, I search for information on Google. There is this one checked product that my partner sent to me. Yes, I use Google to search for new products. This product was not available in Pharma Rack, so I couldn't find anything from the stockist.

I try using pharma apps on this mobile first. If I don't find that medicine, it seems like around 20 companies come up in the market every month. However, the policy states that you have to go to chemist bhavan and register your new medicine there. But many company owners do not register their new medicines there. So we face this problem. We will not get those companies that are not registered. Even if we inquire from chemist bhavan about which company provides this medicine, chemist bhavan would not have their entry. When we don't find it at chemist bhavan, we definitely search for the company on Google. I take a screenshot of that company from Google and put it into the product information. There are vendors listed on Google and some of them would definitely have that company's products. Then the vendor would say, "Yes, I have this company's products.”

Then, for the photo and everything else, I have to search on Google. If someone has sent the photo of the toy they want, I search for the name on Google to see what that product is. That's the purpose only and nothing else. That's all. They would send me the name on WhatsApp to check if I have that toy or not, and then I would search for it on Google to find out what it is. They search for toys and also for some other items. I may not have this in my shop, so I search for it on Google.

Yes. That's something much needed because there are many students who want to print out the photo. They need the photo for school or college projects. They would give me the chart and ask me to print them out for color prints. I don't understand the meaning of half of the images. So, I search on Google to find them. For example, if you give me 10 names of images I need to get, I search for them on Google and then print them out. Sometimes they can't find the image they want, so they give me the name and I have to search for it on Google. Most of the time, it's students who ask for this service, but there are also other customers. Since I work in Cyber, I have to use Google for sure. There are many things that I don't know and have no idea about. When I don't know how to do something, I search on Google and YouTube to learn how. When someone comes to me for form fill up, I have to search for it on Google, get the link, and then fill up the form. Some customers know how to fill up the form, but most of them don't, so I have to do it for them.

We often use Google. If we want to find out something that we don't know, we search for it on Google. For instance, if a customer mentions some names that we are not familiar with, we search and check if there are any alternative numbers for those names. The same thing may be referred to by different names in different places. In that case, we search for that thing and find out more information. Maybe I am working with something and I wanted to know about certain things, then I search about that subject in Google to get information.

If there are North Indians, they may not understand, so they will search for the item on Google. and show us the items or tell us about them, and we can search and see. I didn't know about Poha, but I have heard of one or two items. In the beginning, they used to ask for some items, and then I would search for them on Google and show them the photos. There will be language problems like that. I know Telugu and Malayalam to a certain extent.

Google is an integral part of everything. There's not much more to say about it. We use Google for various business-related searches, including checking rates, finding distributor numbers, and looking for super service contacts. Everything we need is right there.

Walk-in customers are around 6 to 8. We have more online customers who find out about us through Google, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube.

Google is an important tool. SEO is the reason for that.
