I don't use Amazon Pay and Bharat Pay anymore. The thing is, people used to come every 2-3 months to change the barcodes used by apps like Amazon Pay and BharatPe. It has been quite some time since anyone from Amazon Pay came to change the barcode. So, I had no option but to stop using the Amazon Pay app. I had the same issue with BharatPe. As for GPay and PhonePe, people from these companies come to my shop regularly to change the barcode. They come once a month to change the barcode.
There are times when I ask my customers to share the screenshot of the payment that they are making through an app like PhonePe or GPay with me on WhatsApp. So, this is how I deal with the customers. However, there are customers who don't use any payment apps like GPay or PhonePe. Those customers buy the products from my shop and assure me that they will pay for those products the next day. Now, if I have trust in a customer, I will allow them to buy products from me and pay for them by the next day. I have to conduct my business in this way. If I don't get any customers at my shop throughout the day and a customer comes to my shop when I am about to close it, I will sell products to them on a credit basis and take assurance from them that they will pay for those products the next day. So, trust plays a big factor in any business. I note down the money customers owe me in my diary.
With the introduction of these payment apps, making payments has become much safer and more secure. Now people don't have to carry cash with them; they can make payments through apps like GPay or PhonePe. When it comes to the vendors and salesmen who come to my shop, they make payments to me through GPay if they don't have any cash. So, I do use these payment apps frequently for business purposes.
I trust PhonePe more than Gpay because money never gets stuck there. In Gpay, money gets stuck for as long as 3 days sometimes. Many times, my money has been stuck on Gpay for 3 days, and I can't do anything about it. I have to wait for 3 days and after that, the money will either come to me or be returned to the customer. If the customer doesn't have cash, they can send the payment directly to me through PhonePe or Gpay before the repair is done. I started offering these online payment options to meet the needs of my customers.
Yes, it's become easy after PhonePe and GPay has come. Every morning, I learn how much I earned the previous day. Some people pay cash, but now I can see how much I have earned and how much money is going to my account. I have to remember daily who paid cash and who paid online.
This Gpay and PhonePe is good; now I can call the customer and that I need payment for their vehicle repair and request them to send it; it's easier; otherwise customer will have to wait when I ask him to come and pay. They are at their jobs and can't come till evening. Over phone they make online payment.
My loyal customers taught me to use Google Pay and PhonePe. If anyone makes a payment, we have to click here to view the history. The first name will be that of the person who made the payment. That is how I started accepting payments using PhonePe and Google Pay. I cannot force anyone to pay in cash. Previously, I used to turn away customers who used PhonePe and Google Pay.
I don't know how to pay someone using these apps. I only know how to receive payments. I open the app and check. I have not sent money to anyone yet. Once, I was in my village when my auditor called me. It was the last day to pay the professional tax of Rs. 2500. He asked me to pay using Google Pay or PhonePe. I asked him to guide me over the phone and I would follow the instructions. It happened only once. I paid 2500 like that, just following his instructions. However, I don't remember now what I did.
The customers used to ask me whether I have Google Pay or PhonePe. As I did not have it before, they used to go to another shop. Otherwise, they would tell me that they will get money from the ATM. But they never come back. Now that I know, I can check the received payment.
I decided to use Google Pay because people started asking for G-Pay. Otherwise, they won't come to us. I would tell them that they can take the items and pay later when they have the money. The Lord will remind you to pay me, so don't worry about that. You will be surprised when that happens. They can make payments online using G-Pay, or they can pay in cash. I chose G-Pay because a representative from Google Pay approached me and offered it. The representatives of Google Pay, the volunteers, came to me. It has been about a year now that I have been using G-Pay. They said it is good and that my payments wouldn't be stopped. If there is any issue, they will come soon. They asked if I wanted a sound box, but I declined, as everything will be shown on the mobile. Any payments received will be shown on the mobile these days. I don't have any other UPI apart from G-Pay, and it is good. If I see others using different apps, then I will consider them. I saw that Google Pay was good. Many people I know said that Google Pay is good. The vendors also told me that G-Pay is good. They said it is good, and they are very experienced compared to us, so I thought, okay, let's go ahead with it. No option for card payments.
No card machine. We have a code to scan. One is Google Pay, and there is one more app. Since most of the customers were paying online, we had to keep the barcode.
My favorites are PhonePe, Paytm, and Google Pay. All of them are available. And mainly, I am using Google Pay and PhonePe, but Paytm is also available. The thing with Paytm is that if it's registered with my phone, I will receive the message even if I'm not there. There is one problem with Google Pay - it's not available on iOS applications. Yes, Google Pay Business app is available on Android but not on iOS.
I have multiple payment options like Paytm, Google Pay, ICICI, and BOB. I have placed Paytm on the table. Since I have three current accounts, customers choose the one they have, like ICICI, BOB, or Paytm if they already have it. This caused confusion for me because the money was being transferred to different banks. So, I finally combined them into one account with a sound box. The other accounts didn't have a sound box. Initially, I didn't buy the sound box when they came to sell it. Sometimes, when I wasn't at the shop, my staff would receive payments from customers and call me to check if the payment was received. But now, with the sound box, my staff doesn't need to call me because they can hear the payment notifications through the sound box. They charged me 2000rs for this service.
We offer two payment options: Google Pay and Paytm. We used to have a card machine, but we closed it because it was only free for transactions up to Rs. 30,000. After that, they charged around 2%. Moreover, if someone wanted to pay with a card for a Rs. 30,000 transaction, we couldn't process it. The card machine had some issues and had a monthly rental fee of Rs. 200. However, they have now discontinued the card machine and replaced it with a new system. The new system charges Rs. 200 plus 2%. These were the problems we faced. Since the launch, I have been using QR codes for payments.
I use Paytm, Google Pay, and Paytm. I use all three payment methods. I have a current account and a savings account. Specifically, I have two current accounts. With three accounts in total, I utilize all of them. Additionally, I have a savings account. If the amount is excessive, I use the savings account for payment. Furthermore, I request customers to make payments to that account. I have a savings account to receive payments for filling out any forms. The payment amount is Rs. 1,400. All the children are filling out a form here.
Even a child said that his bag was lost here. It had 4,000 rupees in it. So, the bag was stolen. It was stolen. So, he came running. He had left his bag here. So, I told him to search for it. He said that it's not here. It's missing. So, I informed him that it's missing. I checked the CCTV camera footage. After a while, a customer arrived. He noticed the bag. He took it quietly and left. Alright. How did he get caught? He made a purchase from the store. He paid us using Google Pay. Okay. I have his phone number. He was a government employee. Look at his foolishness. He stole a small amount of 4,000 rupees. He got caught. I called him. I asked him to return the bag. He asked me which one. I told him that I have the recording. I mentioned that I will file a complaint. The police will handle it. He didn't come back. He probably sent it through some other method.
I use Google pay. There is no difference in it. Sometimes payment is later due to server down. Sometimes message comes late; I have faced this 1-2 times. Customer sent me money but I did not get message then I wrote down the number of the customer and told him if I don’t get message then I will call you. every time I don’t get message I do this, if customer is from outside somewhere then I make him sit till I get the message. Local customers’ number I take and I ask them to go.
For business I mostly use Gpay. Sometimes I use Paytm. Payment is not done on it smoothly, party sent me scanner to do payment through Paytm but it did not happen. I mostly use Gpay.
Yes. All of the options I use. After payment is done I share it with sales person. Sales person will share it with the office ….with the party. Share option is there if you have see…
I don’t feel there should be any change in it. If customer is not having cash, they immediately do Gpay. I have not faced any problem with Gpay. So I don‘t think I need to change anything.
No apps as such, nothing just use this PhonePe and Google Pay.
We have Google Pay for my business. It is linked to another account. I have two accounts.
You can see the balance and everything here only. Yes, I check it through Google Pay, the balance and all.
I don’t know much about the apps, my son is there, he installed this for me earlier, this Google Pay and all. He knows about these things and I go to him if any problem arises.
I simply select the items I want and leave them at the store. Then, I pay the amount on Google Pay or in cash. That's all. Yes, the people at the market know me by name. We have been in contact for many years, so they give me their phone number. I have to personally pick out the jewelry and toys. It can be costly. I own many bangles. At least 250,000 rupees worth.
I prefer Google Pay because it provides instant results and transfers money directly to my account. I have not encountered any issues with it. However, I have been facing a problem with Paytm for the past month. Daily, I receive the amount on the second day instead of instantly.
I pay my employee using Google Pay, but I do it through my husband instead of using the app. Although I have the app, I don't use it to pay her. I choose this method to save on expenses because I prioritize myself.
I use UPI for customers, as they scan this and use Phone Pe and Google Pay. People send money using UPI, and they also give me cash. Phone Pe is used more frequently. Cash transactions are also done, depending on the case - sometimes it's cash, and sometimes it's Phone Pe. Phone Pe is the preferred method. I have a business app for Phone Pe, as well as Amazon and Google Pay. I didn't keep more apps because I would get confused. That's why I have only two. I would have the benefit of tallying this, just like what happened in both of these. I find it easy to calculate this. I have the app PhonePe, and there I can see this. That's the business app. Then, what I get on Google Pay, I see that on the Account statement. If I have more than that, I would be confused. I have only these two. I had Bharat Pay before, and now I have closed it. I have only these two now.
I only use Paytm. That was the first payment method I started using, and after that, there are many others like Google Pay. Of course, there are also many other UPI payment methods, but I don't want to use anything else. I tell my customers that I will not be accepting any other payment methods. It's a small city where cash transactions are more common, and in larger cities, it is possible to use other methods. Even distributors prefer cash in their hands and do not accept online payments. They don't take online payments, and small distributors prefer cash because they also have to make payments. So, we prefer to work with cash, whether it's 50 or 200 rupees or whatever amount - we want it in cash. If I have to buy something, then I will have to pay in cash, and not everyone here accepts UPI.
Not all of the vendors offer credit. Only saris are available on credit. The rest are for cash. I may record the cash amount given. If it is 30k, I may pay 20k in cash and the remaining amount through PhonePe. I may make a note of that. PhonePe and Google Pay. I use them both.
I learned about UPI a year ago, but there were many negative things being said about it, such as money getting deducted and so on. People thought that money would be taken out of their accounts easily, but later I realized that there are many advantages. Most customers don't carry cash anymore. They come and ask if we accept PhonePe and Google Pay. They might not have made the purchases if I didn't accept it.
I keep a record of the business done through PhonePe and Google Pay. I have both. I have my personal savings account. I also have a loan account, which was given to me. I had taken a loan from this Finance. They had given it to me free of cost. They said that it would aid my business.
QR code was advantageous. I had a current account with them, then the PhonePe people came to me. The Google Pay chap came as well. There were two different boys. I took another UPI because it was a personal one. I was given this machine by Google Pay. Then there is the PhonePe one. They are both so good. They gave a machine also.
I thought of using UPI because of the customers' demand. Maybe they didn't have cash and wanted to make UPI payments. That's why. After this is installed, we have solved the problem of small currency changes. If the bill is 220 or 210 rupees and the customer does not have 10 rupees change, then they can use Phone Pe or Google Pay. This advantage exists. We used to tell them to pay later because he did not have change of 10 rupees in his pocket. I also do not have small change. This is useful to avoid the problem of small currency changes. Suppose the bill was 210 rupees, and the customer had 300 rupees... we did not have change for 90 rupees. At that time, we asked customers to pay 10 rupees, and the customer paid that through UPI or in cash if they had it. Previously, this used to cause a little problem. If they did not have change, they would come after some time and give that amount. Or they used to keep 300 rupees with us and later gave 10 rupees and took their 100 rupees back.
The payment options that I offer to customers are limited to cash and Google Pay. I do not provide credit to anyone. Occasionally, if there is a small amount left, like Rs 100 or so, they can pay it the next time. However, if I were to extend credit for larger amounts such as Rs 300, Rs 500, or Rs 1000, and note it down, we would not receive the payment later. It is possible that the same person may visit another shop the following month. Therefore, we have made the decision not to offer credit. Mostly when the customer says that the Google Pay isn’t working, then for that I have the card machine here.
We provide online payment options, such as Paytm, Google Pay, and Phone Pay. We accept card payments and have Axis Bank machines. However, there are charges for card payments, and they vary based on the type of card. Customers understand the additional cost associated with card payments.
We offer the following payment modes to the customers: Paytm, credit card, Google Pay, Bajaj finance, PhonePe.
